Are you looking to meet new people who like to do what you like to do?
Or perhaps you are looking to venture off in a new direction and take up a whole new hobby. These are just a couple of the reasons that the Young Adult Division has developed YAD Clusters. A Cluster is a group of 10 to 30 individuals, led by a volunteer cluster coordinator that gives people the opportunity to meet others with similar interests in a welcoming environment. These groups help connect hikers with hikers, dog lovers with dog lovers, beach-goers with beach-goers and cyclists with cyclists. Think there is no one else who likes what you like? Chances are someone does and here is a way you can find those people. Through clusters you can make friends or have an excuse to gather with old friends and help build a San Diego community that fits you! Clusters are theme-based by hobby, location, profession, etc.

NEW! Tennis Cluster: Want to learn tennis for the first time? Pick it back-up? Or practice your skills? Looking to meet new people to hit with? If so, the tennis cluster is for you. We are for beginner and intermediate players. We will learn rules, practice with drills and play non-competitive doubles matches. We'll meet on Sundays at Clairemont High School. Chair: Chad R.
NEW! Teshuva Cluster: The goal of this cluster is to learn through interpretive readings, lectures and group discussions. Answer old questions and derive new ones and truly investigate our profound history and heritage. Touch on these topics, dig deep into our tradition and partake in traditional festivities, Shabbat dinners and much more! Chair: Brett R.
Cinema Cluster: Calling all movie buffs...Have you been looking for your next opportunity to go to the theater? Do you want to socialize with other movie buffs? Then join us at the next Movie Cluster where we'll catch the latest flicks and kick it afterwards to discuss them. Chairs: Michael S. and Stewart B.
Book Club Cluster: Do you love to read and talk about it? Join us for fun discussions on the newest best sellers. Chair: Laurie S.
Business Networking Cluster: Interested in networking with other young Jewish professionals here in San Diego? This will be an opportunity to expand your business contacts and hand out cards. Golf: Looking for some fellow golfers to swing with? Join us for a monthly outing to a local course or an occasional weeknight trip to the driving range. This isn't a competitive group, but, for those that join us at the course, please have knowledge of common golf etiquette and be good enough to not slow the play down. Anyone can come to the range, even if you're awful! Chair: Gary M.
Green Cluster: Looking for an outlet for your environmental angst? The Green Cluster aims to be a forum and active agent for contributing to a greener San Diego. Chair: Brett R.
Running: Are you a runner or want to become one? If you're interested in joining a Jewish running club that meets for weekly beach runs. We have all running levels! Chair: Dana G.
Skiing Cluster: Enjoy the serene beauty of the mountains and the sun on your face as you ski on fresh powder. The Snow Ski/Board cluster welcomes people of all levels, from beginner to expert. We will look into local trips, adventurous trips, racing, and more. This cluster will meet year-round. Chair: Jason E.
Theater Cluster: Enjoy the theater? Join this new cluster for a variety of theatrical genres, including comedies, dramas, musicals, operettas, and more! Let's get together and appreciate what San Diego County has to offer!
